Soft Delusion은 Love X Stereo와 Nicole Yun의 우연한 만남에서 시작된 새로운 콜라보레이션 싱글이다.

미국을 기반으로 활동 중인 Nicole Yun이 서울에 머물던 어느 날, Love X Stereo는 그녀를 스튜디오로 초대했다. 뚜렷한 계획 없이 시작된 세션에서 세 사람은 먼저 사운드와 분위기를 즉흥적으로 쌓아 올렸고, 그날의 에너지는 자연스럽게 하나의 곡으로 이어졌다.

다음 날, 서울의 지하철 안에서 Nicole은 전날 만들어진 트랙을 떠올리며 멜로디와 가사를 구상했다. 이후 스튜디오에서 Nicole이 앞 소절을 불러 보자, 애니가 그 흐름을 이어받아 다음 소절을 떠올렸고, 그렇게 Soft Delusion은 두 보컬의 감각이 맞물리며 완성되었다.

드리미한 일렉트로닉 사운드와 팝 록의 질감이 어우러진 Soft Delusion은 낯선 도시에서의 우연, 순간적인 영감, 그리고 부드러운 착각처럼 번지는 감정을 담아낸 곡이다. Love X Stereo 특유의 몽환적인 신스 팝 에너지 위에 Nicole Yun의 선명하면서도 섬세한 보컬이 더해지며, 두 아티스트의 세계가 서울이라는 공간 안에서 자연스럽게 교차한다.

Soft Delusion is a new collaboration single by Love X Stereo and Nicole Yun, born from a chance encounter in Seoul.

One day, while Korean-American artist Nicole Yun was visiting Seoul from the U.S., Love X Stereo invited her to their studio. With no fixed plan in mind, the three began by improvising sounds and building the atmosphere of the track, allowing the energy of the session to naturally take shape as a song.

The next day, while riding the Seoul subway, Nicole thought back to the track they had created the day before and came up with a melody and lyrics. Later in the studio, Nicole sang the opening line, and Annie immediately followed with the next phrase, completing the song through a spontaneous exchange between the two vocalists.

Blending dreamy electronic textures with a pop-rock sensibility, Soft Delusion captures the feeling of chance encounters, fleeting inspiration, and emotions that spread like a gentle illusion. Over Love X Stereo’s signature dreamy synth-pop energy, Nicole Yun’s clear yet delicate vocals add a new dimension, allowing the two artists’ worlds to naturally intersect in the city of Seoul.
